Summer Delayed this Year

For those of you who are wondering why I have not posted my "summer" pictures of our family doing something "together" -- we have not been able to do this "yet". Mark was pulling wire in an old church building and got twisted in a very funny position. He heard a "crack" and the fun started from there. The injury occurred on June 17th. In the last 36 days since his injury we have been to 23 places which include: Chiropractors, (2) E.R. visits, General Practitioners, Physician Assistants, Primary Dr., Orthopedic Surgeon, Trauma Rib Specialist, Utah Spine Institute and Physical Therapy. He has also had 2 CT scans, 2 MRI's, 2 chest x-rays and MULTIPLE vials of blood taken for tests. His initial diagnosis was a cracked sternum and a rib detachment from the sternum. Since then, we have dealt with very high fevers and severe pain that is not related to his initial injury. Mark has basically been living on pain medications and staying in bed 80% of the time while missing 3 weeks of work. We have cancelled many summer plans but hope to get some answers and see some recovery in the next few days so we can salvage some time before school starts! We will keep our fingers crossed!

Good luck with all that. Please let me know if there is anything we can do to help.
